The quantity of debris was daunting: Pieces of roofs, trees' signs, awnings and fences were scattered across the entire property Damage estimates were wide ranging and severe.

Wilma knocked out power for hundreds of miles, cutting off electricity to a staggering one out of three Florida residents. Florida Power & Light, the state's biggest utility, said Wilma affected more of its 4.3 million customers than any other natural disaster in the company's history.

The lack of power didn't slow the performance of Nicon Construction.

The Nicon team immediately began the process of applying a spray on roof sealer to stop water from raining into the units below. The sealer stopped water seepage without having to rely on ineffective and short lived blue tarps. This gave Nicon enough time to setup their arsenal of dryers and began the methodical reconstruction process properly from the top down.

Under the supervision of John Burgess, Nicon Construction took control of the project and began rebuilding the massive complex one section at a time. The ability of Nicon to compartmentalize a large project into smaller more manageable sections is the key to the success of their onsite performance.
